This brought back such memories... I visited the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland in 1979, touring with the AZ State choir. You should have heard how our singing reverberated in the ballroom! It was quite similar but more elaborate, deep underground, with art hewn from the salt walls, salt-crystal chandeliers, and tiles carved in the huge ballroom floor.
